The Black Box

The Black Box by Michael Connelly is another stellar Harry Bosch yarn that puts the indomitable LAPD homicide detective in a race to follow the evidence and solve a twenty-year-old murder before the bureaucracy of his own police department puts a stop to his investigation—and possibly takes his badge. Connelly is a master of pacing and the exciting plot twist; as a reader and fan, I loved being along for the ride. Delving into Bosch’s mindset and motivations is something I’ve always found to be particularly fascinating, and this time around was no disappointment as he reaches back into his past to right a wrong he’d been party to. A thoroughly satisfying read.
